Harry and Lola's story Anyone who has lost a beloved pet knows the pain. In the fall of 2010 we lost our “perfect puppy”, a Scottish terrier, Mac Doogal. I was inconsolable for weeks. Click here for the rest of the story. |

A few facts about Harry and Lola ________________________ Harry Harry is three years of age. He is about 24 pounds; 12 inches high and 18 inches long. He was named for Harrison Ford and the name really fits. As a fan of both, they are handsome, happy and a lot of fun to be around. Harry loves people, walks and other dogs. He is unflappable and we may work on making him a hospital companion pet because he is so good with people. ___________________ LOLA Lola is seven years of age. She is small for a Scottie, about 17.2 pounds; 10 inches hight and 15 inches long. She is very focused upon food! She loves her bonded partner, Harry, and treats him with respect. Sometimes Lola is number one and sometimes she lets Harry be number one. Lola was named for the Lola of this song: [LOLA] Whatever Lola wants Lola gets And little man, little Lola wants you Make up your mind to have no regrets Recline yourself, resign yourself, you're through I always get what I aim for And your heart'n soul is what I came for Whatever Lola wants Lola gets, Take off your coat Don't you know you can't win? You're no exception to the rule, I'm irresistible, you fool, give in!...Give in!...Give in! As the words in the song say, Lola gets what Lola wants. She runs the house and is just great to be around. ______________________________ ______________________________ Harry and Lola live in Sisters Country Central Oregon, Here are a few photos of the area. ____________________________ |

| Thank you for taking a few minutes to read this. As a new participant in dog rescue, my mission is to bring as much attention to dog rescue as my abilities can facilitate. I’m also committed to using the collection of Harry and Lola books as a long-term fund raising tool. The fuel for my passion is simple. My husband and I thought we couldn’t have another Scottie after losing Mac Doogal, because our advancing age and health issues would put the dog at risk of outliving us. Then we learned about Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue. We adopted Harry and Lola and I got involved with the program. Any dog lover can understand the huge value of knowing any dog we own will always find a good home through ASTR if we are unable to care for it. That knowledge is priceless because having a dog is priceless to us. It is my goal to sell enough of the Harry and Lola e- books to show a book agent that we have a market for Harry and Lola hardcover books; developing a steady stream of revenue for dog rescue. I believe these books will have a following if we can get them enough attention. To that end, any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated. Please share this site and the Harry and Lola books with your friends and family. Buying the books for 99 cents on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com is the most important thing you can do to help us reach our goal and support Scottie rescue. All profits from the sale of the books goes to ASTR and each sale gets us that much closer to getting published in hard cover. Thank you for your support! |
| Help us raise more money for dog rescue. Buy the e-books on barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com. All royalties go to dog rescue and you have fun with a collection of great kids books. |
